What did you learn about the people of India and their community?
i learned that in most places the male of the man of the house is usually considered superior. i also learned that india is a crowded place to live.


What learning occurred for you in this experience?
things like schools, wildlife, and people greatly differ from those in america.

What is global awareness

Global awareness is the concept of seeing the world as one big whole and people around the world coming together to fix the worlds problems, versus every country trying to find their own way to fix problems. global awareness doesn't always have to focus on the worlds problems though, global awareness is also the concept of exchanging cultural information worldwide. you see global awareness every time you see a chinese restaurant (unless it was just an american who opened it). but global awareness can be used for more important things, such as helping sick children that need help in different countries by giving them medicine that they don't have. you  can be globally aware by contacting friends or family in different places. if you don't have any friends/family in different places, sign up for an online pen-pal program.
