• Transportation in France relies on one of the densest networks in the world with 146 km of road and 6.2 km of rail lines per 100 km. In 1988 a consortium of French and British construction companies began work on the English Channel Tunnel or "Chunnel," completed in 1993, which established the first direct rail link between France and Britain. the brazil documentary was very interesting. i like how it told a few different stories from different points of view. i know a lot about about brazil now, before i knew very little about brazil other than the fact that they had lots of beaches. brazil is a very interesting place with a culture unlike that of any other place.

Why India is Amazing!

     India is amazing and cool for many different reasons. some of my favorite things about India are the wildlife, the food, and the religions. let me tell you about all of them!

     India has some really cool animals! my favorite Indian animal is the Peacock.some of the most interesting animals in the world come from India. one time i went to a zoo and saw lots of animals from India, they had pythons, peacocks, and tigers. I really like all the animals that come from India!

     Indian food is one of my favorite foods! Indian food is usually made up of spicy, tangy, and sweet flavors. Saffron is a spice that is used a lot in India, it is one of the most expensive spices in the world! Last week me and my school went to an Indian restaurant, it was really good! Indian food is a very unique and interesting way of making food.

     India has many religions. India has roughly 6 main religions; Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, and Judaism. Those six religions are also used throughout asia. Christianity was actually in India before it was in Europe. Believing in different religions is good, if the whole world believed in the same religion, that would make for a very boring world.

What did you learn? I learned about all the different religions in india and al the variables within those religions.

How can you use what you learned?  in researching about the religions I came upon other facts about india that may be useful in future, for example if I ever got a job with somebody from india I now know how not offend them.

If you could do this project again what would you do differently and why? I probably would have taken more time on the presentation and taken  my time more.

What did you learn about the people of India and their community?
i learned that in most places the male of the man of the house is usually considered superior. i also learned that india is a crowded place to live.


What learning occurred for you in this experience?
things like schools, wildlife, and people greatly differ from those in america.

What is global awareness

Global awareness is the concept of seeing the world as one big whole and people around the world coming together to fix the worlds problems, versus every country trying to find their own way to fix problems. global awareness doesn't always have to focus on the worlds problems though, global awareness is also the concept of exchanging cultural information worldwide. you see global awareness every time you see a chinese restaurant (unless it was just an american who opened it). but global awareness can be used for more important things, such as helping sick children that need help in different countries by giving them medicine that they don't have. you  can be globally aware by contacting friends or family in different places. if you don't have any friends/family in different places, sign up for an online pen-pal program.
